Welcome to our Science Festival Open Day website, let us tell you a bit about ourselves!

As part of the University of Cambridge Science Festival in March, the Department of Chemistry opens its laboratories to the public. Visitors can experience the thrill of chemistry, and its importance throughout our lives, by taking part in hands-on experiments and demonstrations run by students and researchers. We are offering numerous activities suitable for children aged 5+, as well as Dr Peter Wothers world-famous lecture (suitable for ages 8+)! You can browse our website to find out what’s happening on the day, or access resources and information for schools.
